CONCH NEWSLETTER Like the swallows to Capistrano, the snowbirds have returned to Cape Cod, and spring is busting out all over. For CONCH, it has been a busy and productive winter, with activities in full swing, and a number of successful social events. The Valentine Luncheon, the Bye-Bye Birdie show and dinner, and the Yo Yo Ma concert trip were enjoyed by a host of members. Our thanks to Kay and Ray Sacramone, Pat and Arlene Bowler, and Dona Webber for making these such successful and enjoyable events. We are also pleased that CONCH has become more well-known over the past year, and our membership has grown to more than 400 people. Our next meeting is on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 9:30 AM at the Harwich Community Center. We will be electing our Officers for the coming year, so we hope you will make every effort to attend. In the meantime, if you have not already done so, sign up for our last two events of this season - the trip to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on May 20, and the Boston Harbor Dinner Cruise on June 11. Details on both are on our website, conchcapecod.com, and will be discussed at the May 11 meeting. I look forward to seeing you on May 11. Dick Doherty
Come join our club and enjoy the activities and friendships of life on the Cape! |
